The word is finally out and the long awaited LEGO Voltron Ideas set is officially revealed. At a height of 40cm and a piece count of 2321, LEGO claims it’s the largest buildable LEGO mech ever and I’d be too gob-struck to bother checking out that claim even if I didn’t trust them (It would just be an excuse to go look at mechs anyway). It was announced in August of last year that two projects were approved to become Ideas sets, The Ship in a Bottle and Voltron. The Ship in a Bottle went on Sale February 1st, but there has been little to no info released about the Defender of the Universe.

I shared an image of the first look at LEGO Ideas Women Of NASA set a few days ago and a couple days later it was officially revealed. I was hoping it would happen quickly and it certainly did! As a bonus, we won’t have to wait very long to get our hands on the set either.

Flickr user /zux has posted photos of the upcoming and highly anticipated Ideas set, Women Of NASA. This is the first time I’ve seen anything that looks official regarding this set, so I’m guessing a store allowed a sale ahead of release date.
