Let’s end Super Villain Week on a fun note. There aren’t too many villains that are more fun than the alter ego of Dr. Harleen Quinzel.
Harley Quinn may have started out as a sidekick to Batman’s greatest enemy, the Joker, but she has carved a place for herself in the hearts and minds of comic book fans since her days on Batman: The Animated Series. You could argue that she has become even more popular than the Joker himself. I love the Harley Quinn from the LEGO Batman Movie because she’s even more vibrant and fun and this human cannonball version is fantastic. Evel Knievel would be proud.
The other villains in this pack are great fun as well. I’ve always loved Gentleman Ghost because he’s not a traditional villain and I think the supernatural ones are just more interesting than the bank robbers with a gimmick. Crazy Quilt is right up there with Condiment King and Polka-Dot Man for his… well, craziness.
Harley’s Cannonball truck is very well built with a lot of fun details. As you can see, I don’t put stickers on sets and in one like this that is very noticeable. I really don’t like when a set relies too much on stickers for it’s detailing. If something is that important, print it. Otherwise, don’t include it.
Honourable Mention: Batgirl. I loved Rosario Dawson’s take on Barbara Gordon and I’m happy to see her pop up in a set instead of Batman. There’s a big Bat-family out there, LEGO. Share the love.
