It’s been a full year plus since I did my huge purge of instruction booklets. This pile represents the majority of the sets I’ve built in that year. I can put it off no longer.
Again, not the most glamorous side of the hobby, but a necessity for me. First I organize the pile by theme, so more piles. Then I grab a pile and head to LEGO.ca to download the instructions individually. I label all the PDFs by theme>set number>set name>booklet number and dump them all in the appropriate folders. I want to be able to put my hands on any instruction booklet in seconds and that’s something that was impossible when I had multiple totes full of hard copies. Tomorrow I take this box of booklets to my local recycling depot and the wheel turns on. Unfortunately, I have to call this process for the night. It’s 1:30, I’m tired and I can finish up the Superhero and Friends sets tomorrow.
The weird thing is, because of my specific OCD… I actually like doing this.
